We created an ad and it caught the attention of President Trump and some of his key staffers, which led to a meeting at the White House. Trump then took action and issued an executive order saving 200 union jobs for American TVA workers who are critical to maintaining our powergrid.
Foreign doctors have been over-prioritized for residencies at U.S. teaching hospitals, which has caused thousands of U.S. doctors to get sidelined each year. To help these sidelined doctors, we created the Doctors without Jobs movement, protested at the AAMC, and testified in Congress.
When 45 companies colluded to create the job board Chicago H-1B connect to pander to recently laid off H-1B visa holders to apply there for jobs, they discriminated against Americans in favor of foreign workers. With help from attorney John Miano, we filed a complaint with the Justice Department.
What It Means to Be America First
When bad immigration polices make it easy to push American workers aside in favor of foreign workers only too happy to work for less money and fewer benefits – We push back! When good middle-class blue- and white-collar jobs are sent overseas – We push back! When foreign products flood our markets and disadvantage domestic businesses – We push back!
Like you, we cherish the freedoms a market economy makes possible. It made America Great. We all see how sending production abroad has made us less self-reliant and secure. The Institute will fight for decisions that benefit Americans concerning industry, labor, foreign trade, and immigration. We put America and our workers first.
We need clean thriving cities, good conservation measures, and safe neighborhoods. These are basics we always took for granted but that now are under siege. By taking active and practical measures, we can protect our natural environment and restore our built environments, emphasizing once again their amazing beauty.
America is a republic where citizens get involved in the political process and contribute to policy outcomes. We’ve seen attempts to change how we vote. Integrity of our electoral process must be a priority if we are to preserve all that America stands for. To make America Great again, Justice must become blind again!
Engaging with citizens is the best way to reach out to elected officials about important actions needing to be taken. Strong outreach to citizens and organizations helps us produce effective campaigns.
FOIA requests and lawyers cost but make possible for us to intervene in “sue and settle” lawsuits, where agencies conspire with plaintiffs to settle cases under terms that they have no authority to implement.
We believe change can be made that impacts us all in positive ways by educating the public, decision makers and officials. With your help, we will make common sense changes that improve society for our citizens.
